About Leta Palmiter

With nearly 30 years in education, I help schools and districts build effective literacy systems that connect assessment, instruction, intervention, and professional learning. My work is grounded in the science of reading and structured literacy, with particular expertise in dyslexia, struggling readers, Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention, and using student data to drive instructional decisions.

I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist, Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, and National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy. I have worked with teachers, school leaders, interventionists, and special education teams to strengthen classroom instruction, design intervention systems, interpret student data, and build educator capacity.

My approach is practical and implementation-focused: identify what the data are telling us, determine what students need, strengthen the systems already in place, and equip educators to deliver effective instruction long after the consulting engagement ends.
