About Dr. Samantha Alperin, LEAD Educational Consultants

Meet Dr. Samantha Alperin

With more than 30 years of experience serving the education profession across PK–12 and higher education, Dr. Samantha Alperin brings a unique perspective, deep expertise, and a passion for helping educational organizations thrive.

Dr. Alperin began her career as a special educator with Legacy Shelby County Schools, where she developed a strong foundation in instructional practice, student support, and educational leadership. After earning her doctorate from the University of Memphis in 2004, she transitioned into higher education, dedicating her career to preparing and empowering the next generation of exceptional PK–12 educators.

Today, Dr. Alperin serves as an adjunct faculty member with The University of Tennessee and American College of Education, while also providing consulting services to educational organizations. Her work focuses on helping institutions strengthen their practices through assessment, accreditation, instruction, and strategic planning. She believes that every organization has the capacity for meaningful growth—and that the right guidance, strategy, and support can turn possibilities into lasting impact.

Beyond her professional work, Dr. Alperin has been married to her husband for 34 years. Together, they have two grown children, a daughter-in-law, and a much-loved grand dog!

When she isn't working with educators or organizations, you can find her practicing yoga, playing pickleball, or reading a good book.
